Kauffman & Co. Furniture is a family-owned custom furniture manufacturer partnering with architects, interior designers, developers, and brands to create furnishings and architectural elements that bring spaces to life. Owned by Jonathan and Betsy Kauffman, the company has been a family business since its inception.
Founded in 2006, the company began as a small handcrafted furniture operation rooted in a passion for craftsmanship, durability, and thoughtful design. What started as a garage-based workshop producing reclaimed barn wood furniture quickly gained recognition among designers, builders, and homeowners seeking distinctive, handcrafted pieces.
As demand grew, the business expanded into a Charlotte showroom and evolved beyond reclaimed materials to include a broad range of custom wood, metal, and specialty furniture solutions.
Today, Kauffman & Co. Furniture operates from a 10,000-square-foot working showroom and production facility near Charlotte, North Carolina. Final finishing and quality control are completed in-house, while our build shops are in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana, allowing the team to scale production while maintaining craftsmanship and consistency.
Our team consists of dedicated designers, craftsmen and women, project partners, and a few loyal shop dogs, all committed to building furniture that balances function, durability, and design.
